CRATIV Packaging (the “Company”) is an emerging engineered packaging company that designs and manufacturers child-resistant packaging in the cannabis space. The Company’s product portfolio consists of three proprietary packaging styles, the CRATIV Original, Mini and Slim, each of which house various sizes of edibles, pre-rolled joints, concentrates and vape pens. The three designs use an innovative locking and latching design which is currently protected under a design patent in the United States and Canada, and utility patents are currently pending in both countries.

Given cannabis legalization trends in North America and uptake of child-resistant packaging regulations in the industry, the Company is rapidly expanding its operations to gain market share and capitalize on the growth opportunity. CRATIV currently has a strong customer base and has produced strong revenue growth since inception.


As a part of its five-year growth strategy, the Company is seeking a motivated Senior Packaging Engineer to lead design engineering and manage customer process implementation. The role located in Denver, Colorado will carry the following responsibilities:

  • Design new injection molded packaging and improve the current portfolio of designs.
  • Manage ongoing mold validation with contract manufacturers, design sustaining engineering processes, and oversee new mold builds.
  • Manage product quality control and supplier audits.
  • Design and implement a product development roadmap, including ongoing cannabis market assessments, cost analyses, and implementation/rollout map.
  • Identify and manage label application vendors and turnkey labeling processes; design and implement custom customer foam and paper inserts.
  • Design fixtures and equipment for the sales team to upsell alongside core packaging.
  • Oversee customer label applications for top customers and supply chain implementation.


Below are the required qualifications of the position:

  • 6+ years of professional engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of SolidWorks Software experience.
  • Proven experience in injection molded part design.
  • Proven experience in injection tooling design.
  • BS in Engineering.
  • Strong oral, written, communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit; ability to simultaneously manage multiple internal and external workflows.
  • Strong work ethic.

  • Medical Device background
  • Master’s degree in Engineering
